Continue updating: On March 27, 2025, 4 reviewers were invited. Reviewer 1 agreed to review on March 28 and returned the review comments on April 9. Reviewer 2 agreed to review on April 3 and returned the review comments on April 8. Reviewer 3 agreed to review on April 4 and returned the review comments on April 11. These three reviewers are quite efficient. As of April 15, Reviewer 4 has not agreed to review yet. I am not sure if the editor will continue to wait for Reviewer 4 to agree to review or will find a new reviewer. Or should we not look for new reviewers and make a decision based on the opinions of the existing three reviewers? Please share your experiences.

Continuing to update, over a month before and after submitting, the manuscript was directly rejected without review. As a sub-journal, it has a strong reputation, but the pace is slow, and it is not very popular among "passersby". Checking, there are more than 50% articles written by Chinese people. After all, it is not easy to do a job from start to finish, there are new methods, new concepts, and new ideas as well. In the future, I will be more cautious before submitting, and will find a journal that can treat my manuscript more seriously.

Just as I said the speed was urgent, the editor was assigned. I was immediately proven wrong. I am currently in a state of uncertainty, but no news is good news.

The speed is currently rated 4 stars, and it is unknown how many days it will take for the status of "receive" to reach the editing stage. There will be updates once there is news.

May I ask how was the feedback from the first review? My initial submission received reviews from 4 reviewers, with 2 positive, 1 negative, and 1 neutral. It was rejected. After making revisions for 4 months, we resubmitted the paper for appeal. It has been over a month since it reached the editor's desk, and we are unsure if it will be sent for review again.
2024-10-30
The first submission was made in February 2024 and was rejected after review. After carefully responding to the reviewer's comments, an appeal was submitted to the editor. The appeal was reviewed one week later. Two months later, feedback was received, one rejection and one revision. The editor provided extensive revisions, and I am grateful that the editor gave me a chance. It took several months to make the necessary revisions and resubmit.
So, don't worry about appealing, fearing that an appeal will result in being blacklisted by the editor. In fact, as long as there are reasonable and persuasive reasons, the editor will still consider the article.
