The editor made very detailed changes, scrutinizing the grammar and individual words, and raised numerous questions that needed to be confirmed and answered. It was almost unbearable, with almost a week of pulling all-nighters. The revisions were completed on the afternoon of April 28, 2025. Two minor issues were raised on April 29, and were promptly addressed in an email response the same day. The paper was finally accepted on April 30, 2025, after a total of 1 year and 9 months from submission to acceptance. It was an emotional rollercoaster. In summary, STM is very demanding in terms of innovation, requiring high levels of creativity in both ideas and methods. The data is extensive, with potential for translation, and it is preferable to have experiments on large animals, especially primates. The editorial standards are truly high, and after several rounds of revisions, the article appeared to have been elevated several levels.
