Please revise it carefully as the well-modified version will be accepted.

The editor has decided to reconsider after thorough revision, rather than rejecting and resubmitting. So, how many levels of opinions does SBB actually have? Is this opinion considered tough? Is the difficulty level above major revision? Is the likelihood of acceptance high?

I am the same.

Submitted during the day on February 26, 2025, it is still in "With editor" status, a bit slow.

The review time doesn't have much direct relationship with the results, either be patient and wait, or push for the review.

May I ask if the submission will be rejected after more than five months of external audit?

May I ask, what was the final outcome?

The submission was made in July, and it was accepted by the end of December. It took more than 5 months, going through two major revisions, one minor revision, and two new reviewers in the second round of reviews. There were also comments from the editor-in-chief and guest editors. It must be said that the journal is very professional and worthy of its top position in soil science. It was noticed that the editor-in-chief usually sends emails on Sunday evenings, perhaps accustomed to working on editorial tasks over the weekend. I have submitted a few times before, but they were all rejected without review. Finally, one has been accepted.

Can't you figure this out? In this way, the first decision time is shortened. Journals also need to shorten the first decision time to show to others.

Good luck to the original poster, the review process is really slow. It took three months for the first review, and the two reviewers have just finished reviewing it, but they haven't sent it back to me yet. I hope for good luck.
