Accepted on July 6th, revised on November 25th. After multiple rounds of revisions, a few days after submission, the editor requested additional ethical materials. The first review took about a month with three reviewers, 2 positive and 1 negative, and the editor requested major revisions. After completing the revisions and resubmitting, it took around 3 weeks for one reviewer to approve, one to have minor issues, and one to reject the manuscript. A lengthy explanation was written to the reviewers, and after the third round of submission, there were no more comments. The editor then requested additional experimental methods to be added before final acceptance. It was finally accepted for publication in a relatively well-known journal in the field of stem cell research.

The article was submitted on September 20th, and after three minor revisions (language issues, additional details on materials and methods), it was accepted in less than two months. The efficiency was truly impressive. The journal has a decent impact factor and classification, although the publication volume is not high. Personally, I feel that it offers great value for money.

I am in the same situation as you. After receiving it, the ethical review took one and a half months. Four ethical review reports were issued back and forth. It was a constant struggle. Then the data was reviewed, and it was also a struggle in various ways. In the end, it was rejected. You can download the MESS app to have a look. There are a lot of such problems in it. I do not recommend submitting.
